September, 13. – 15. – Palma de Majorca

WEucEU 2019 is an unconference! Sharing is caring!

The agenda will be voted by the attendees on Saturday morning! All you need to do is get your ticket and open a note to learn from others or to share your experiences.
Friday

TGIF: Thank god it's friday hangout! We will catch up on Friday evening in one of the best bars in town: Ginbo! The name says it: delicious drinks, cosy atmosphere, where it will be easy to connect.
And to avoid black cats crossing on Friday, 13th - the evening definitely ends after 12 pm - safety first.

Saturday

Saturday starts at 09.30 am with an introduction part. We will collect and sort out talks and sessions. Afterwards we will vote the agenda. Each session will be 45 minutes long and there are three sessions at the same time. Between each time slot will be a break. The day ends around 5.30 pm.
Saturday evening we will have dinner together. Place and timing to be announced.

Sunday

The Sunday starts straight away at 10 am, as the agenda is already set. The day will finish around 4 pm and then the unconference is over.
But there will be some people who stay until Monday or even longer, and they will catch up for the evening in Palma. Last year it was an Irish Pub. So you sort of have an idea what will await you.

Hotel

The conference will be in the district Portopi. We recommend the Hotel BQ Augusta, NH Hotel Ciudad, Hotel Amic Horizonte and the conference Hotel Catalonia Majorica (pls book with a note that you attend the conference). All hotels are still available.

Flights

The airport Palma de Majorca is highly frequented from every larger European city. You can find good deals if you book in advance. The Conference Hotel in town is 20 minutes / 30 Euro away by Taxi or you can take public transport. They have a quite good system.

Sightseeing

Palma de Majorca is worth visiting. So if you are interested in art, history or even urban city life, plan your extra day for exploring the city. If you want to spend a day at the beach or hiking, there are several options nearby.

Its great to catch up with technicians in this setting, at the same time very easy going and professional. Great output. I highly recommended it also as a team event: come as collegeaus, go as buddies.

WEucEU offers a lot of chances to learn and exchange: I had a spontanious talk about Nightwatch.js. Giving a session among technicians it is a great opportunity - I received a precious feedback which strengthen me personally and in my technical competences. Lets catch up in 2019!
